Andy and Jamie Murray's mother Judy to work with LTA

judy Judy Murray, who is the mother of tennis stars Andy and Jamie Murray, is about to start working with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) helping to discover, look after and launch young British players.

Judy Murray will be talent and performance manager for Scotland and also an advisor to the new Tennis Leadership Team, and will be working in liaison with chief executive Roger Draper.

Roger Draper has been at work re-structuring the LTA since he joined just over a year ago.

Roger Draper is reported to have said: "Judy has 'been there and done it' when it comes to identifying, nurturing and bringing through talented players.

"Both Andy and Jamie are clear evidence of that and I'm confident we now have some of the best people to help bring our talented players through."

Judy Murray, who has also been a Scotland national coach, will be one of a team of managers working with the head of technical support Steven Martens, who is leading Britain in spotting new talent among younger players.
