Andy Roddick and Lleyton Hewitt both injured
American tennis star Andy Roddick has joined the list of the injured players before the French Open, which starts on Sunday.
Andy Roddick suffered up a foot injury during his match against Chilean Nicolas Massu at the World Team Cup and was forced to withdraw when he was losing 2-4.
"I don't know how bad it is yet," Andy Roddick said. "It's not responding to movement very well when you try to flex it. Only time's going to tell."
And Australian player Lleyton Hewitt sustained a sprained ankle in Austria on Monday when he twisted it.
His first clay-court event in two years came to a painful conclusion when he injured his ankle during a 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7-3) loss to Brazilian Marcos Daniel at the Poertschach International.
However, Andy Roddick is optimistic that he will be fit enough to face Roland Garros, in spite of the tournament starting a day earlier for the first time this year.
"I just hope I wake up tomorrow and it resembles an ankle and not a balloon," said Andy Roddick.
