Andy Murray injured in Hamburg Masters
Injury-prone Andy Murray is a doubtful contestant for the French Open now after hurting his wrist in the first round of the Hamburg Masters.
Scottish tennis star Andy Murray, 20, was leading Italian Filippo Volandri 5-1 and serving for the first set when he injured his right wrist.
Andy Murray had it attended to by the tournament trainer but had to leave the game two points later and went to hospital for an X-ray.
The French Open is due to begin on 27 May and Andy Murray had hoped to take part.
Andy Murray had been forced to also miss Monte Carlo with a back injury.
In the game with Filippo Volandri, Andy Murray had played a routine forehand but then dropped his racquet and cried out in pain.
Andy Murray returned to see if he could carry on after a 10-minute break but it was in vain and he had to quit.
