Andy Murray beats Stanislas Wawrinka at Wimbledon

andy murrayScotsman Andy Murray has beaten Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka at Wimbledon and goes through to the quarter-finals next.

Murray won against his opponent with a 2-6 6-3 6-3 5-7 6-3 score that secures his place in the next stage of the contest.

However, although he was the winner, the British number one said he was surprised the game was played under the Wimbledon Centre Court roof.

Murray also wasn't happy because he claimed there was insufficient warning that the match would be held under cover. It is not that he has any objection to playing indoors but likes to know what conditions he can expect.

Murray goes forward to take on wildcard Juan Carlos Ferrero in the last eight players taking part in the quarter-finals.

24-year-old Wawrinka was disappointed that he lost but had to admit that Murray had been the better tennis player and deserved to win.
