David Wilkie backs Scotland's swimmers David Carry and Caitlin McClatchey for Olympic gold
One time Olympic swimming champion David Wilkie is backing Scottish swimmers David Carry and Caitlin McClatchey to win gold in Beijing in 2008 and both were double gold medal winners at this year's Commonwealth Games.
"David and Caitlin are two swimmers who have talent and are part of a team with confidence," said David Wilkie. "And we can certainly hope they get gold."
David Wilkie was in Glasgow promoting September's UK Schools Games in which 1200 youngsters will be taking part
Glasgow also hopes to host the 2014 Commonwealth Games and David Wilkie feels sure the autumn event can help their bid and aid the development of athletes of the future.
And David Wilkie also believes that David Carry and Caitlin McClatchey can also give a springboard to success for others to follow.
