Australian swimmer Grant Hackett returns and David Davies is glad

grant Australian swimmer Grant Hackett is making a comeback at the World Championships in Melbourne and Olympic and world 1500m freestyle bronze medal winner David Davies is happy to see his opponent return to sport.

Grant Hackett, 26, had been away from the water recovering from shoulder trouble ever since he won a record fourth consecutive world title in Montreal in 2005.

David Davies, 22, won a 2006 Commonwealth gold medal for Wales while Grant Hackett was away from the action, however, he said: "The World Championships deserve the best swimmers and Grant's credentials speak for themselves."

David Davies doesn't think that Grant Hackett, who was undefeated in 10 years, may be at less than at his best due to his shoulder injury and he said: "He would not be here if he could not put in the best performance, Grant is very success driven."
