Snooker star Ronnie O'Sullivan beaten by Ricky Walden
World champion snooker star Ronnie O'Sullivan has just been beaten 10-8 in the Shanghai Masters in China by Ricky Walden.
O'Sullivan started well and was leading 8-6 and looked all set to claim his 22nd ranking title.
However, 25-year-old Walden, also from the UK, battled back hard and won four frames in a row and with a break of 105.
A proud and delighted Walden said he was off to Las Vegas to celebrate his victory.
By defeating the world number one, Walden has moved up to 17th in the latest snooker rankings and he is nearly in the much sought-after top-16.
Walden had already beaten Stephen Hendry, Neil Robertson, Steve Davis and Mark Selby as he fought his way through to the final.
O'Sullivan's bid to become the first professional snooker player for 15 years to win three ranking titles in a row ended when he was defeated by Walden.
