Rowers Andy Hodge and Katherine Grainger win in Belgium
British rowers Andy Hodge and Katherine Grainger claimed their fourth career titles at the Great Britain senior rowing trials, which were held in Hazewinkel, Belgium.
World men's four champions Andy Hodge and Peter Reed won the men's pair and Katherine Grainger took the women's single scull.
And Andy Hodge and Peter Reed also defeated Steve Williams and Matt Langridge, who is the former world junior champion, by six seconds, in a time of 6:27.99.
Peter Reed commented: "Andy was on fire from 750m onwards,
"We felt if we went out hard, we could win like we did."
Steve Williams said: "It wasn't that we rowed badly," and he added: "We just couldn't live with that today."
Katherine Grainger, who has twice won Olympic silver, started well and kept her lead to beat Annie Vernon in a photo finish of 7:35.91.
Katherine Grainger proudly said: "That's the way I would have wanted to race it," and she added: "I like to get out front and then control the race from there."
