Hong Kong snooker star Marco Fu beats Ronnie O'Sullivan
Hong Kong snooker star Marco Fu amazed former world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan by defeating him 9-6 in the final of the Royal London Watches Grand Prix.
Marco Fu battled back from 5-3 down, claiming six of the last seven frames and victory in Aberdeen.
Marco Fu's triumphant success gave him the first ranking title of his 10-year career, but Ronnie O'Sullivan hasn't won a new title in 31 months, and because of this he had little to say to the press afterwards.
Marco Fu, naturally, was happy to celebrate his victory and he said proudly: "Every time I play Ronnie I play my best snooker, so this is very special."
Marco Fu feels sure that getting expert coaching tips from 1979 world champion Terry Griffiths was one of the main reasons why he managed to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan and win the title.
