Destiny 2000 players share lead in Prime Bank International Chess

Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Emon and Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar of Destiny 2000 are jointly leading the points table in the Prime Bank 8th International Rating Chess Tournament of 2005.

Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Emon and Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar earned full points at the end of the fifth round games on Wednesday at the BCF hall room.

FM Mehdi Hasan Parag was in second position with 4.5 points. FM Taibur Rahman Sumon, Shamima Akter Liza, FM Abu Sufian Shakil, Kazi Mahbub Afzal, Ejaz Hossain, Sohel Chowdhury, Mahtabuddin Ahmed, Khorshed Alam and Masudur Rahman Bari were in third position with four points each.

In the fifth round, Emon beat Debaraj, Sagar beat Lavlu, Parag beat Alam, Taibur drew with Liza, Ejaz beat Farhad, Sohel beat Asad, Robin beat Tarif, Khorshed beat Riad and Masud beat Masuda. The 6th round games will be held today from 3 pm at the same venue.
