Chinese snooker star Ding Junhui pulls out
Chinese snooker star Ding Junhui has pulled out of next month's play-offs of the Premier League.
Ding Junhui, 19, has been told by China that he must represent them in the forthcoming Asian Games.
The fifth-placed player will take up Ding Junhui's place in the play-offs, set to take place on 2 and 3 December, from the group stages and it has been agreed that 50% of the replacement player's winnings will be given to the Paul Hunter charity.
Ding Junhui is reported to have given a donation to the charity.
Snooker players Stephen Hendry, Jimmy White, Graeme Dott, Ken Doherty and Steve Davis all have a chance to qualify.
Barry Hearn, chairman of the event sponsors, said: "With £50,000 for the champion, £25,000 for the runner-up and £12,500 for the beaten semi-finalists hopefully the charity will get off to a flying start."
