Moscow Flyer defeated in Navan race
It came as a surprise that Moscow Flyer was beaten in Sunday's Fortria
Chase at Navan when 8-1 shot Central House won by three-and-a-half
lengths. Barry Geraghty had asked Moscow Flyer to go past Central House
two out in a bid to win the race for a third successive year.
However, Central House, trained by Dessie Hughes and ridden by amateur Roger Loughran, was stronger on the run-in.
Dual Queen Mother Champion Chase hero Moscow Flyer was the 4-11 favourite.
Trainer Jessica Harrington was not downcast about the 11-year-old's defeat.
"I am not disappointed, he needed the run," Jessica Harrinton said.
"We will now be going for the Tingle Creek at Sandown with every hope of winning."
