British jockey Tony McCoy makes his comeback
British champion jockey Tony McCoy has been declared fit again and the British Horseracing Authority have given him the go ahead to ride at next week's Cheltenham Festival.
Tony McCoy has been away from the sport of horse racing since 12 January due to a back injury but he will be making his comeback at Sandown on Saturday.
Tony McCoy had hurt his back in a fall at Warwick and he has had to wait for his doctor to be satisfied with the medical reports before being allowed to go back to horse-racing.
Tony McCoy was given the all clear to race again by his own doctor last week, and then on Friday, Dr Michael Turner, the BHA's chief medical officer, is reported to have said: "AP (McCoy) has been cleared by me to ride on Saturday if he wants to."
In the course of the last week Tony McCoy has been riding for trainer Jonjo O'Neill, and he was at Stratford racecourse on Monday, where he partnered Black Jack Ketchum.
