World number 1 golf star Tiger Woods is optimistic
Golf star Tiger Woods is feeling optimistic about becoming the first golfer in history to win all four majors in one season.
World number one Tiger Woods, who is playing next in the first round of the Masters on Thursday, has every reason to be so confident judging by his excellent performance so far this year.
Tiger Woods has won seven of his last nine tournaments and some bookmakers are offering 8-1 odds on him winning all four majors.
Tiger Woods said: "I think this is my 12th or 13th season and in nine of those years I've won five or more tournaments, so just got to win the right four. I've won all four in a row before," he added, referring to his wins in the Open, US Open and the USPGA in 2000 and the Masters the following year.
However, Tiger Woods is well aware that some of the top golf players in the world will also be taking part in the Masters so he will be up against the best.
