Women's golf star Michelle Wie misses the cut

michelle wie Women's golf sensation Michelle Wie hasn't been doing so well lately and she missed the cut for the 11th time in her 12 appearances on the men's tour, finishing in second place to last in the Casio World Open in Japan.

Michelle Wie, 17, who made her worst score (81) in a men's event in the first round, only scored an 80 in round two and she had six bogeys and a double-bogey in a round she called "pretty tragic".

But, undaunted, Michelle Wie, who did not make a birdie in either of the rounds, plans to continue to take part in the men's tour.

"It doesn't bother me because I know I can play much better than this. I learn a lot from playing with the men," said Michelle Wie and she added: "I know what I have to work on," she said. "I'm looking forward to going home and working on my swing."
