US golfer Tiger Woods wins FedEx Cup with his lowest score
American golf star Tiger Woods has won the Tour Championship in the final event of the new FedEx Cup play-off series with what was his lowest score in his entire professional career.
World number one Tiger Woods was in the lead all through the final round and he carded a four-under-par 66, finishing on 23 under.
This win marked Tiger Woods' fourth success in his last five contests and earned him the FedEx Cup title and a $10m bonus, as well as $1.26m dollars for winning the tournament.
Another achievement that Tiger Woods gained was that this win was his 61st victory on the US PGA Tour, which puts him very impressively only one behind Arnold Palmer on the all-time list of golf stars.
A jubilant Tiger Woods said: "It's been just a phenomenal week. I just hit shot after shot and when I got on the greens my speed was good all week."
