US golfer Phil Mickelson to make his PGA Tour return
American golf star Phil Mickelson will be making his comeback to the PGA Tour for the first time in six weeks when he takes part in the WGC-Bridgestone International that starts on Thursday.
Mickelson, who is currently world number two in the golf rankings, has been away from the sport because his wife and mother are both suffering from cancer and he has been spending time with them.
Many top golfers will be Mickelson's rivals when he does make his return and Tiger Woods, who is world number one, will be one of them. Woods is hoping for a fifth tour victory since he made his own comeback earlier this year after knee surgery last year.
Lee Westwood, Retief Goosen and Stewart Cink, who recently won at the Open, are other top names in the sport of golf that will be taking part.
