US golf star Tiger Woods is ready to return
American golf star Tiger Woods says he feels even better than before his time away and he is more than ready for his comeback at this week's WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship starting on Wednesday in Arizona.
33-year-old Woods has been away from the action for a long eight months after having an operation to rebuild his knee.
The Match Play event will be Woods' first appearance since he was the winner of the US Open at Torrey Pines in June 2008.
Woods had to abandon his last year's campaign after he was forced to admit he had been playing with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. He also was suffering from a double stress fracture of the tibia below it.
Woods has been practising hard again though and feels fully fit to make his return.
Woods will make his comeback playing against Australian golfer Brendan Jones in the first round on Wednesday.
