Tiger Woods wins World Golf Championship despite weather
Golf star Tiger Woods managed to play well despite the terrible weather at The Grove and won the World Golf Championship tournament by eight shots.
Tiger Woods started the final day in the lead by six and, after two delays due to rain, which amounted to almost three hours, he posted a 67 for a 23-under total.
Tiger Woods' lead kept him well ahead of Ian Poulter and Adam Scott who shared second place, with Jim Furyk one shot back in fourth position, and this win was Woods' sixth straight strokeplay tournament victory.
A birdie at the second and fifth made sure that Tiger Woods was not going to feel under too much pressure, but he still took seven-and-a-half hours to complete his round due to the weather.
"We had it all with the weather today - all we didn't have was snow," Tiger Woods said.
"It was just a day of patience and not making any bogeys. I made one, unfortunately," Tiger Woods added.
