Spanish golfer Jose Maria Olazabal hopes for a comeback
Spanish golfer Jose Maria Olazabal is aiming to make a comeback in the New Year after four months away from sport due to rheumatism.
Jose Maria Olazabal, 41, began training again this week after having suffered trouble in his shoulders and groin.
Jose Maria Olazabal explained: "I was worried I was going to be out for a long time again, because of the amount of pain."
Jose Maria Olazabal had been unable to play for as long as 18 months in the mid-1990s.
Jose Maria Olazabal added: "But according to my doctor, in six weeks or so I should be able to start practising pretty much normally again."
Jose Maria Olazabal will be in Louisville for the defence of the Ryder Cup in 2008 as assistant to European golf captain Nick Faldo, and he hasn't given up on actually taking part as a player himself.
