Spanish golf star Sergio Garcia hopes to improve
Spanish golf star Sergio Garcia is hoping he can make a comeback to his better form when he takes part in his first European Tour event of the season at the European Open.
After a disappointing slump in his career, Garcia will be playing at the London Club in Kent on Thursday.
Although Garcia is the current world number four he has not been able to get a top-10 finish since January of this year. Garcia's most recent results have been 31st, 77th and 38th (at The Masters) places, a missed cut and coming 22nd in his defence of the Players Championship.
And his performance hasn't been helped by a relationship with Greg Norman's daughter Morgan-Leigh coming to an end.
Garcia will be playing the first two rounds with Ross Fisher, who is last year's winner.
Garcia wants to put his recent disappointments firmly in the past as he gets ready for the US Open at Bethpage Black on 18-21 June.
