Seve Ballesteros delays return due to back pain
Golf star Seve Ballesteros, 48, has been forced to delay his first tournament appearance this year due to back pain.
Double US Masters champion Seve Ballesteros had intended to be back
participating in next week's Dubai Desert Classic but feels he is still
not well enough.
"He changed his mind because he does not feel 100%," his manager and nephew Ivan Ballesteros explained.
Seve Ballesteros has suffered from arthritis and has not played since he missed the cut at the Madrid Open in October.
Ivan Ballesteros said Seve was planning to make it back before this
year's Masters and that he had been exercising in readiness for his
comeback.
"He wants to be at the Masters in April and is hoping to play before then."
Seve Ballesteros has not played the final two rounds in a major
tournament for the last decade, and he won the last of his 50 European
tour titles in Madrid as long ago as 1995.
