Mexican woman golfer Lorena Ochoa wins 7th LPGA title
World number one woman golfer Lorena Ochoa from Mexico claimed her seventh LPGA title of the year with a four-shot win at the women's World Championship in California.
Lorena Ochoa had shared the lead with Norwegian golfer Suzann Pettersen at the beginning of the final round but she soon broke clear with two birdies in the first three holes and fired an impressive six-under-par 66 to finish on 18 under.
A proud Lorena Ochoa afterwards said: "I have been trying to get my seventh victory of this year but it has been tough the last two weeks,"
"This week has been great and I am very proud and happy with this trophy."
It hasn't been going so well for Hawaiian teenager Michelle Wie though who ended a disappointing week with a six-birdie 71, which moved her one place up from the bottom of the leaderboard.
