Irish golfer Padraig Harrington optimistic about French Open

Irish golf star Padraig Harrington is really hoping he can be successful at the France Open as he gets ready to play at the US Open at Turnberry in a fortnight's time.

However, Harrington has missed his last four cuts and his recent performances have been disappointing.

But Harrington is well aware that if he expects to be a winner at the US Open then he needs to recapture his much better past form when he plays in France at the French Open, which begins on Thursday.

So far this year, Harrington does not have a top 10 finish, and he is currently ranked a disappointing 195th out of 212 for driving accuracy on the European Tour.

Harrington has used different drivers but he has been getting some advice from coach Bob Torrance in the hopes of getting back on form again.
