Ian Woosnam could be captain of European Ryder Cup golf team
Ian Woosnam says it is possible that he may become captain of the European Ryder Cup team again.
Ian Woosnam, 46, guided Europe to victory at the K Club last month, defeating America 18½-9½, before leaving so Nick Faldo to take over.
"I did say that I would do it once and that would be it," Ian Woosnam said and added:
"But I can see circumstances where it may just be possible for me to allow my name to go forward again for consideration."
Ian Woosnam said he would try to get into the 2008 team to play in Kentucky as a member of the side.
"That may be a remote possibility, but I have not given up hope and intend to give it my best shot," Ian Woosnam explained.
After seeing how the K Club hosted the event, Ian Woosnam hopes the Welsh Celtic Manor, which is the next European venue for the clash against America in 2010, will be able to build on this.
