Golfer Jim Furyk has narrow win at Canadian Open
Jim Furyk claimed a narrow victory at the Canadian Open when British golfer Justin Rose played badly in the final round.
Justin Rose started the day leading by a shot, but after three bogeys and a double bogey he finished well behind on seven-under.
Jim Furyk, who went into the lead after the first round, shot six birdies in a five-under par 65 to end on 14-under and win by a shot from fellow American Bart Bryant (67).
"It's been a good solid year, only the second season where I've had multiple wins," said Jim Furyk.
"I keep going back and comparing this to 2003 where I had a breakout year and won the US Open," Jim Furyk added.
With Jim Furyk already the leader, Bart Bryant made a back-nine charge with three birdies, rolling in a 15-foot putt on 17 to get within one of the lead but he was unable to get the birdie he needed to force a play-off.
