Golf star Tiger Woods sympathises with Phil Mickelson's worries

tiger woodsUS golf star Tiger Woods can appreciate the worry that Phil Mickelson is experiencing and the pressure he will be under when the US Open begins on Thursday.

Mickelson has just delayed showing up for the event at the Bethpage Black course where the Open is being held because he wanted to spend his 39th birthday with wife Amy.
37-year-old Amy Mickelson was diagnosed with breast cancer in May and so concern for her health have been a number one priority in Mickelson's mind.

Woods lost his father Earl to cancer of the prostate back in 2006 so he knows what it is like to have a loved one suffering from the terrible disease.

Although the relationship between Woods and Mickelson has been described in the past as not a good one the number one in the sport of golf denied these reports and pointed out that that he and his wife have spent a lot of time socialising with the Mickelsons.
