Golf star Tiger Woods hopes to do a lot better at Sawgrass
US golf star Tiger Woods is hoping he can do a lot better than he has in the past when he plays in the Players Championship at Sawgrass.
Although Woods is the current world number one in golf he has been unable to claim a top-10 finish on the famous course since he won there in 2001.
So far this year, Woods has finished ninth, first, sixth and fourth in the four tournaments he has taken part in since making his return to golf after many months away while he was recovering from knee surgery.
Other top golfers Sergio Garcia and Padraig Harrington both missed the cut last week, however, the Spanish golfer won the best prize of his career when he was the winner at Sawgrass last year.
29-year-old Garcia went up to world number two in November of last year before dropping back to third place behind Woods and Phil Mickelson in March.
