Golf star Padraig Harrington out of Seve Trophy
Irish golf star Padraig Harrington has withdrawn from the Seve Trophy tournament at the end of the month giving fatigue and injuries as his reasons.
Padraig Harrington said: "I've been advised to take an immediate two-week break from tournament golf."
The Seve Trophy is a golf tournament in which the UK and Ireland play against continental Europe, and this year's event is being played at Ireland's Heritage Resort.
Padraig Harrington added: "It's not a decision I've taken lightly,
"I don't want to let down the GB and Ireland team and, most importantly, the Irish golf fans. I wish the team the best of luck."
Padraig Harrington is following the lead of fellow golfers Luke Donald, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood who have also pulled out of the event.
With all these golf stars away means that there is potentially a better chance for those taking part and Justin Rose, Paul Casey, Colin Montgomerie and Bradley Dredge now all qualify for captain Nick Faldo's team.
