Golf star Lee Westwood is hopeful for Augusta
English golf star Lee Westwood is feeling confident and optimistic about his chances at his first Masters at Augusta this week.
Lee Westwood, 34, explained: " People will see the good form I'm carrying. I've had a lot of top-ten finishes recently. And hopefully I can turn some of them into a win."
The Masters tournament in Augusta begins on Thursday and Lee Westwood is hoping to do really well now he has the chance.
Lee Westwood's tie for 30th place at Augusta last year was his best result in five past visits to the Masters event, where he has only made the cut on two occasions.
However, Lee Westwood has been getting better and better and has been the most consistent golfer in Europe, in second place only to Henrik Stenson on the Order of Merit.
Lee Westwood knows he is at his best right now but he realises he has to be to have any chance on the difficult course at Augusta.
