Golf star Colin Montgomerie gets ready for the Ryder Cup
 Although it is a year away, veteran Scottish golf star Colin Montgomerie has been busy making preparations to lead his European team at the Celtic Manor in Wales where they are hoping to reclaim the Ryder Cup from America.
The event in the Newport area will be the focus of attention in the world of golf and Montgomerie wants to make sure that his team are the winners.
Montgomerie has so far been involved in making preparations like choosing clothing, bags, waterproofs and accommodation, etc. , which whilst they are not part of the sport itself are all essential items to get right if you are hoping to win.
Montgomerie, who took part in the Ryder Cup as a player between 1991 and 2006, is now looking forward to his role as skipper for the European golf team at the Ryder Cup.
