Golf star Colin Montgomerie considers Bernhard Langer as a wild card

colin montgomerieEuropean golf skipper Colin Montgomerie is seriously considering choosing Germany's Bernhard Langer as a wild card selection for next year's Ryder Cup at the Celtic Manor in South Wales.

52-year-old Langer is a real veteran of the sport having played in 10 Ryder Cups and he was acting as captain for Europe himself when they won in the 2004 tournament in Oakland Hills.

Montgomerie is very impressed with Langer and thinks that despite his age he is definitely fit enough to win

Langer's past history in golf is very impressive too because he has been a winner as many as 40 times on the European Tour as well as being victorious in the Masters in 1993 and 1985.

Langer s Ryder Cup career has been all of 21 years and he has been in a partnership with Montgomerie before in that time.
