European golf captain Nick Faldo under attack by Paul Azinger
European golf captain Nick Faldo has come under attack by American Ryder Cup skipper Paul Azinger because Paul Azinger alleges that Nick Faldo won't give a wild card to Colin Montgomerie because he cannot get on with him.
This isn't the first time there has been friction between Paul Azinger and Nick Faldo although they have recently worked together as television commentators for US broadcaster ABC.
In 1987 Paul Azinger gave The Open victory to Nick Faldo at Muirfield but wasn't pleased with how Nick Faldo reacted.
Faldo and Montgomerie were once Ryder Cup playing partners but have not always seen eye-to-eye in the last year.
And Paul Azinger had a point when he said that Nick Faldo cannot get on with Colin Montgomerie because he had questioned Nick Faldo's decision to appoint Paul McGinley and Spaniard Jose Maria Olazabal as vice-captains back in May.
