English golfer Steve Webster wins Portugal Masters
English golfer Steve Webster won the Portugal Masters with the best winning final round of the season on the current European Tour, when he scored a 64 in Vilamoura.
Steve Webster's only previous European Tour victory in over a decade as a professional golfer was the Italian Open two years ago.
Steve Webster won the first prize of nearly £350,000 with a 25-under-par total that was the lowest of the season.
However, Steve Webster had been recalling the death of his mother earlier this year, and it was all too much for him and he burst into tears.
Steve Webster said: "I lost my mum in the early part of the season and it really knocked me about,"
And Steve Webster added: "It was so hard out there, especially coming down the stretch, because I was thinking about my mum all the time and it was so hard to keep my mind on the golf. But I knew she was looking down on me."
