English golfer Paul Casey is out of the Masters
English golf star Paul Casey had a very difficult day at Augusta and he carded a closing 79 to lose his place in the Masters tournament after coming in to start at fourth position.
Paul Casey, 30, was the UK's best chance of getting a Masters winner since Nick Faldo in 1996, but he didn't manage to make it and finished on level par for the week, eight shots off Trevor Immelman who won.
Earlier on Paul Casey had been four shots off Trevor Immelman as he entered the final round and he started well enough but then he double bogeyed the 4th, dropped a shot at the 5th and ended up calling a penalty on himself when the ball moved.
Paul Casey admitted later: "That took the wind out of my sails because it was so difficult out there."
The penalty was followed by yet another bogey and after bogeys at seven and eight, and three more dropped shots it was clear he wasn't going to win this time around.
