English golfer Luke Donald thinks his injury helped

luke donaldEnglish golf star Luke Donald thinks that the wrist injury that stopped him playing for all of the season last year, actually has benefited him in the long run, because he needed the rest he got whilst making his recovery.

31-year-old Donald is currently preparing for the PGA Championship this week, starting on Thursday.

Last year, Donald was forced to abandon the last two majors and the Ryder Cup after having an operation on his left wrist.

Donald, who will be playing alongside top stars like Darren Clarke and Jeev Milkha Singh, said that injury gave him a much-needed rest and that he is now feeling confident of doing well.

Although Donald has been without a victory in golf since the 2006 Honda Classic in Florida, he is aiming to reverse things this season, hopefully starting with a win at the PGA Championship.
