English golf star Paul Casey beats Ross Fisher
British golf star Paul Casey has become the first English golfer to reach the final of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship following his win against Ross Fisher.
Casey goes forward to play Geoff Ogilvy in the final on Sunday after the Australian had defeated Stewart Cink. Casey and Ogilvy are scheduled to tee off at 1440 GMT.
In his semi-final victory Casey was in the lead from Fisher all through the game but he didn't claim his win until a birdie at 17.
Casey could now become the first Match Play winner to stay in the lead for the entire week and he has done so for an incredible 79 of the 80 holes he has played.
Elsewhere, Northern Ireland rising star Rory McIlroy had seen his run of success finish when he was beaten in the quarter-final by Ogilvy.
