English golf player Justin Rose suffers back problem
English golf star Justin Rose has had to pull out from the PGA Championship at Wentworth because he is suffering from a back problem.
28-year-old Rose withdrew his name from a pro-am golfing event on Wednesday to take some much-needed rest, but he then decided he is not fit enough for the main tournament at Wentworth.
Rose was in second place at Wentworth last year so this comes as a great disappointment to him this time around.
Back in 2007, Rose was ranked sixth in the world ratings for golf, however, he has dropped down to number 38 since then, although at the Dubai Desert Classic in February, he was runner-up to Rory McIlroy.
Back problems are nothing new for Rose because his career has been hampered like this in the past, and he said he thought that a lot of rushing about recently had made the condition flare up again.
