England golfer John Bickerton leads at French Open English overnight golf leader John Bickerton carded a one-under-par 70 to stay keeping his one-shot lead after the second round of the French Open on Friday.
John Bickerton, from Droitwich, moved to nine-under-par 133, a stroke ahead of compatriot golfer Gary Orr, who played really well with a superb 64 in the morning.
Welsh golfer Bradley Dredge is joint third one shot back along with Michael Campbell, Joakim Backstrom and Jose Manuel Lara.
Veteran player Seve Ballesteros carded a second 81.
Seve Ballesteros, making his return after an eight-month Tour lay-off, said that he still intended playing in next month's Open Championship despite finishing 20 over.
"I found it hard to focus," the Spanish golf star said. "That's the reason for my high numbers - that and lack of competition," Seve Ballesteros said.
