Danish golf star Thomas Bjorn annoyed with Ian Woosnam

thomasbjorn Danish golf star Thomas Bjorn is annoyed with Ian Woosnam after Europe's Ryder Cup captain left him out of the team to face America later this month.

Ian Woosnam preferred England's Lee Westwood to Thomas Bjorn, although the English golfer is lower in the world rankings and Ryder Cup points table.

"I'm shocked and have totally lost respect for Ian Woosnam," said Thomas Bjorn.

"My relationship with him is completely dead. It looks like he needs to learn how to be a captain," Thomas Bjorn added.

Thomas Bjorn, who has played in two Ryder Cups, went on to say: "If the choice had been made only on competitive results, I could go along with it.

"But I'm in front of Lee in all the rankings, I have played better than him in the qualifying phase and then Woosnam bases his decisions on results which are more than five years old."

Thomas Bjorn was referring to Lee Westwood's win at the K Club in Ireland, where the Ryder Cup will be held.
