Colin Montgomerie and Retief Goosen both miss the cut
Scottish golf star Colin Montgomerie missed his second straight cut
after shooting a very poor second-round of 74 at the Johnnie Walker
Classic in Perth.
Colin Montgomerie, who was also out of the game early at Dubai, needed
an eagle at the last but took par and ended on level par.
South African golfer Retief Goosen and New Zealand's Michael Campbell were other well known names who missed the cut.
But South Korean KJ Choi fired a 66 and moved into the lead on 13 under, two shots ahead of American golfer Kevin Stadler.
Australia's Adam Scott, who was the joint first-round leader along with
Kevin Stadler, fell back to be sharing third on nine under with his
fellow countrymen Tony Carolan and Richard Green.
And Nick Dougherty also joined Colin Montgomerie in leaving early when he finished the two days on par.
Colin Montgomerie, 42, had begun the day on two under and gained two
more shots, only to slip back with double bogeys on the 11th and 14th.
The last time he missed two cuts in a row was two years ago.
Retief Goosen hasn't missed a European Tour cut since back in 2003 but he also ended his game on level par after a 72.
