Billy Foster explains caddying for Tiger Woods rumour

tiger Golf star Darren Clarke's caddie Billy Foster denies that he has been asked to start working full-time as caddie for Tiger Woods next season, following the rumoured departure of New Zealander Steve Williams, who has caddied for Tiger Woods for the last eight years.

In response to the speculation that has been circulating about this, Billy Foster explained: "A few rumours are flying around, but I've not been approached. I wish I could say it was true because it's the best job in the world - better even than Tiger's."

However, it is for certain that Billy Foster impressed Tiger Woods when he carried his bag for the 2005 Presidents Cup while Steve Williams' fiancee - now his wife - was giving birth.

Tiger Woods had said: "He's good at what he does. I've seen him work with Clarkey over the years and he's had some success,

"There were a couple of guys I was considering, but I like his personality. He's very competitive, very feisty and very similar to Stevie."
