Australian golfer Mark Hensby will probably miss rest of season
Australian golfer Mark Hensby says he will probably miss the rest of the season after his effort in defending his Scandinavian Masters in Sweden this weekend.
Mark Hensby, 35, has had a very poor season after he sustained multiple injuries in a car accident in January.
Mark Hensby has played in only 15 events in 2006 and he said:
"I would say this will probably be my last event of the year.
"I damaged my leg, whacked my back and suffered a lot of whiplash, but it is my feet that have become the real problem, and I have really been struggling walking 18 holes.
"The accident has set me back. I was hoping to play both sides of the Atlantic this year, certainly more than I have in Europe this year.
"It is hard when you are struggling to come over here, though, and then go all the way back."
Mark Hensby's problems have caused him to seek advice from Spain's Jose Maria Olazabal, whose career was also threatened by foot problems in the mid-1990s.
