Annika Sorenstam is set to face the new women golf stars
Swedish golfer Annika Sorenstam is all set to play against the new generation of women's golf stars and she will be defending her Kraft Nabisco Championship title later this week.
Annika Sorenstam will be in California playing against teenagers like Michelle Wie, Morgan Pressel and Paula Creamer.
"It's great for women's golf that all the young players are coming through," said Annika Sorenstam.
"But whether it's Paula Creamer or (45-year-old) Juli Inkster, I just want to beat them all," Annika Sorenstam added.
Annika Sorenstam said she was "lightly raced" this season but was still confident of a fourth win in the tournament.
"I'm excited about the days ahead," Annika Sorenstam said. "I've only played three tournaments this year, but I feel ready."
Morgan Pressel and Michelle Wie are the two most exciting young talents in women's golf and who are getting the most attention in the media. They are both set to play their first major as professionals at Rancho Mirage this week.
