Tour of Germany leader cyclist Jens Voigt wins sixth stage in Austria
Tour of Germany leader cyclist Jens Voigt won the sixth stage from Seefeld to St Anton Am Arlberg in Austria.
German rider Jens Voigt, 34, who rides for the CSC team, now holds a 24-second advantage over American Levi Leipheimer with two days left to go.
Levi Leipheimer was second in the 122-mile stage with Andrej Kashechkin of Kazakhstan in third place.
Jens Voigt, who took over the overall leader's jersey on Sunday, won the third stage of the race as well.
"I was feeling bad on the first climb of the day, but then I said to myself, 'Hey, everybody else is human, too, we're all suffering'," Jens Voigt said.
"On the final ascent there was a little stretch of flat, and I could put a big gear in to accelerate away," the rider added.
Levi Leipheimer admitted that it seemed likely he would lose his title.
"Jens is my favourite to win it," Levi Leipheimer said. "He showed he was strong today and I have to take my hat off to him.
"I have never seen him ride so well and he is very good in the time-trial too. "To be honest I would be happy to take a place on the podium at the moment."
