Tour de France will return to London Christian Prudhomme says
Christian Prudhomme, who is the organiser of the Tour de France cycling race, says it will comeback to London in future. London hosted two stages of the Tour de France last weekend.
An estimated four million people turned out to watch the British leg of the Tour de France featuring the prologue and stage one and Christian Prudhomme was cited in The Guardian as having said: "It is not possible for us not to return."
Christian Prudhomme didn't go any further with a date for the return, however, and he said: "I do not know when we will come back."
The prologue of the Tour de France took place on Saturday before Sunday's 203km first stage between London and Canterbury.
London's mayor, Ken Livingstone, is also very keen to see the Tour de France return to the capital.
Ken Livingstone accompanied Christian Prudhomme and Paris mayor Bertrand Delanoe on the opening prologue of the Tour de France.
