Swiss home of German cyclist Jan Ullrich raided
The Swiss home of German cyclist Jan Ullrich and other homes and offices of people suspected of involvement in the Spanish doping scandal were raided on Wednesday.
Jan Ullrich's manager Wolfgang Strohband said that German prosecutors searched his and his client's homes.
Jan Ullrich is on his honeymoon with wife Sara Stainhauser and was not at home at the time.
Wolfgang Strohband said: "I have contacted my lawyers and they will look at what steps can now be taken."
Jan Ullrich, the 1997 Tour de France winner, was sacked by his T-Mobile team during this year's Tour after allegations that he was involved in doping.
Jan Ullrich is claimed to have received the blood-boosting drug EPO, steroids and human growth hormone by Madrid-based sports doctor Eufemiano Fuentes, who is the alleged head of a blood-doping operation, but Ullrich denies the allegations and says he does not even know Fuentes.
