Isle of Man rider Mark Cavendish hopes to impress on the Tour of Britain
Isle of Man rider Mark Cavendish already has his hopes set on London as the Tour of Britain prepares to begin in Glasgow on Tuesday.
Mark Cavendish, 21, feels that Sunday's final stage in London will give him a great opportunity to impress.
"The London finale should suit me as a sprinter - I'm expecting a very fast stage there," said Mark Cavendish.
146 cyclists, including such stars as Tom Boonen, Andreas Kloden and Michael Rogers, will battle it out over six stages covering 869.6km.
Mark Cavendish is part of a T-Mobile team which also features two-time world time-trial champion Michael Rogers and German star Andreas Kloden.
The main attraction of the Tour of Britain race is world champion Tom Boonen, who rides for Quick Step, the Belgian outfit which dominated last year's event when Nick Nuyens led from beginning to end.
