Former cyclist Floyd Landis infuriated by test results
Former racing cyclist Floyd Landis has been reported as "infuriated" with the American anti-doping officials and the results of tests on his Tour de France samples, in what he describes as a "malicious series of actions."
The tests performed at a laboratory in Paris have shown traces of the banned steroid testosterone and the French newspaper L'Equipe has reported this.
However, Floyd Landis' consultant Paul Scott was not allowed to witness the tests, in the absence of two US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) officials and this provoked Floyd Landis to label the injustice as "yet another in a series of malicious actions by USADA".
On Floyd Landis' website his statement continues: "How can I be expected to prove my innocence while USADA (the) endeavours to break their own rules at every turn?"
"Together, they have turned this proceeding into a full-scale attack on my civil rights and a mockery of justice."
