Former Tour de France winner Jan Ullrich seeks new team

jan ullrich Former Tour de France winner Jan Ullrich is training again and seeking a new team for the 2007 season.

The T-Mobile team sacked German cyclist Jan Ullrich, 32, in July after being named in a Spanish investigation into the use of blood-boosting drugs.

Jan Ullrich insists all that is behind him and now wants to find a way to return to cycling, although he is still under investigation by German authorities.

"I am not giving up without a fight and have been cycling three hours every day," Jan Ullrich told the Bild newspaper.

"My aim now is to take out all the pent-up frustration in my cycling. If I manage to do that I will have a hell of a lot of energy," Jan Ullrich added.

Italian team Tinkoff are reported to have offered Jan Ullrich a place for next season on the second tier continental circuit.
